A Note on Some Quiet Seasons
In recent years you may have noticed we haven't always been able to keep up with demand, and some seasons we've had to pause orders altogether. Our family spent three years fighting breast cancer together. We're incredibly grateful to now be in remission, but we won't pretend the road has been easy, and some challenges from that fight are still part of our everyday life.
We're sharing this because so many families are touched by cancer in some way, and we know how much it can help just to feel less alone in it. If you or someone you love is on a similar journey, below are some organisations — and community groups — who can offer real support. If it's ever quiet on our end or an order takes a little longer than usual, this is very likely why, and we thank you for your patience and kindness.
To everyone who has supported us through this — with a kind word, a patient wait for an order, a meal left on our doorstep, or simply choosing to shop with us knowing why we might be running behind — thank you. It has meant more than we can put into words. We're also acutely aware that not everyone is as fortunate as we've been; too many families face this same fight without the outcome we were lucky enough to have. If this page reaches you at a harder point in your own journey, please know we're thinking of you too.

Our Story
A very small, very busy workshop
We're just a young family in Taree who fell in love with the glow of a good outdoor Christmas display. What started as a couple of hand-cut plywood shapes in our own front yard turned into neighbours knocking on our door asking if we'd make one for them too — and Dunn's Christmas Creations was born.
Every single piece you see here is cut, sanded, painted and weatherproofed by hand, usually after the kids are in bed. There's something pretty magical about sharing that glow with other families and knowing our little hobby helps other people feel the same excitement our own children feel every December. Making this business work lets us give our kids a truly magical Christmas — while hopefully helping yours feel a little more magical too.
We know our prices aren't always the cheapest, and we wish that wasn't the case. Between the cost of good marine-grade materials and the sheer number of hours that go into every cut, coat of paint and layer of sealant, it genuinely takes a long time to get each piece right — we're often still out in the garage well past midnight painting and weatherproofing orders so they're ready in time. Every dollar goes straight back into materials, tools, and time with our family. Thank you for supporting a small, hand-made, family hobby.
We're also lucky to live in an area with a few other wonderful outdoor Christmas cutout makers.
